News from Androscoggin Habitat for Humanity
August 2007

Great Falls Balloon Festival     An estimated 50 volunteers turned out to help Androscoggin Habitat for Humanity sell bloomin' onions and curly fries during the Great Falls Balloon Festival Aug. 17-19.
This was the 15th year the affiliate has set up the booth to raise funds for the purchase of materials to build a house for a family in need of adequate housing.
Rob Spellman, who has chaired the effort for the past 11 years, thanked the volunteers for their efforts. It was hard work but the volunteers kept at it, working four-hour shifts throughout the long weekend and serving a constant stream of customers.
